Meet The Team
At Little Loco’s, we believe that a passionate and dedicated team is at the heart of providing the best care for your children. Our experienced staff are committed to creating a nurturing, fun, and educational environment where every child can thrive.
Each child is assigned a key person who will be responsible for monitoring and tracking their progress. Your child’s key person will also ensure you are kept informed throughout the year.
Every staff member is devoted to delivering the highest standards of care and fostering an environment where children can develop their abilities and become confident, successful learners.

Heather founded Little Loco’s Day Nursery in 2024 fulfilling her life long ambition of owning her own nursery school. Having 3 children of her own and growing up round the local area, Heather is uniquely placed to understand the intricacies of Newarks nurseries.
Heather has a background in interior design and business management and is well suited to design and run the nursery. Heather has 2 of her 3 children at nursery school age, so understands exactly what finding an outstanding nursery means to fellow parents. Peggy will be attending the nursery here at Little Loco’s too.

Throughout her career, Kelly has developed strong leadership skills, managing day-to-day operations, staff development, and maintaining the highest standards of health, safety, and safeguarding. She is committed to fostering a nurturing, inclusive, and stimulating environment where every child can thrive.
With extensive experience in implementing the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework, staff training, and building positive relationships with families, Kelly plays a vital role in ensuring the nursery meets and exceeds regulatory requirements and delivers outstanding early years provision.
Her dedication to professional development and team collaboration makes her a respected leader who inspires those around her to provide the best possible start in life for every child.

Aylish brings a wealth of experience and a unique
perspective to the Little Loco’s team. She has
previously worked in family law and developed a
deep understanding of the importance of nurturing
and supporting children and their families. Aylish is
passionate about helping every child thrive and her
empathic nature ensures she builds strong
relationships with parents.

Sonya is a Level 2 qualified Nursery Practitioner. She has an abundance of experience in the childcare industry. She has been a childminder and nanny in her previous roles. She has had a vast amount of experience working with children with SEND. Sonya brings warmth, creativity and a nurturing persona to everything she does.

Lucy has worked in several managerial roles since graduating from university, with previous experience in the security and communication sector. Her key focus was to support her team and ensure client expectations were consistently exceeded. After the birth of her eldest son, Lucy became a full-time mum, but she is now excited to return to work and meet many new families.

Kelly has been in the childcare industry for over 20 years, leading various nurseries with her expertise and love. With a degree in Early Childhood Education and extensive experience in the sector, she ensures that our nursery is a safe, stimulating, and supportive space for every child. Kelly is passionate about fostering curiosity and creativity in the children’s daily activities. Kelly will always work closely with parents and carers in a partnership approach to ensure strong bonds are created and maintained with each individual child.
I am the Designated Safeguarding Lead at the nursery.

Over the past decade, she has worked across all age groups, gaining a deep understanding of child development and the importance of high-quality early years care. In her current role, she collaborates with her co-lead and team to plan and deliver stimulating, play-based learning experiences that meet EYFS standards and support each child’s unique needs and interests.
Chloe believes consistency, empathy, and teamwork are key to creating a positive, supportive environment where everyone can flourish.
She is passionate about what she does and continues to learn and grow every day alongside the children in her care.

Alicja is a Level 3 Qualified Early Years Practitioner and Baby Room Lead at Little Loco’s. She has a deep passion for supporting babies during the earliest and most important stage of their development, providing a warm, calm, and loving environment where they feel safe, secure, and valued.
In her role as Baby Room Lead, she oversees the daily care, routines, and developmental activities for children aged 0–2 years. She works closely with families and her team to ensure every child receives the individual attention they need to thrive, from sensory play and early communication to physical development and emotional bonding.
She supports each baby’s unique journey is a responsibility she takes great pride in, and she strives to make their early experiences positive, enriching, and full of love.

As part of her apprenticeship, she is gaining hands-on experience in child-led learning, safeguarding, and promoting positive behaviour. She enjoys engaging with children through play, storytelling, and creative activities, and she is always eager to learn from the experienced practitioners around her.
She is working towards her Level 2 Early Years qualification, and she is excited to continue growing both personally and professionally in this rewarding field.

Ruby is currently completing her Level 3 Apprenticeship in Early Years Education and is a valued member of the team at Little Loco’s. She is passionate about supporting children’s development and wellbeing and is gaining hands-on experience working closely with experienced practitioners across all areas of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
As part of her role, Ruby supports the daily routines of the setting, helps to plan and deliver engaging activities, and builds warm, positive relationships with the children in her care. She is particularly focused on creating a safe, nurturing, and inclusive environment where every child feels valued and encouraged to explore and learn.
Her enthusiasm, caring nature, and willingness to support the team make her a fantastic addition to the nursery.

In her role, she works closely with her co-lead and team to plan and deliver age-appropriate activities that support all areas of the EYFS, from communication and language to physical development and personal, social, and emotional growth. She also plays an active role in maintaining routines, promoting positive behaviour, and ensuring a safe and inclusive space for every child.
She is fully trained in Level 3 Early Years Education. She believes strong teamwork, consistency, and building trusting relationships with families are key to helping children feel confident and secure during these important early years.

During her training, Eve gained valuable hands-on experience working across various age groups. She has developed a solid understanding of the EYFS framework and is confident in planning and delivering age-appropriate activities that support each child’s learning and wellbeing.
She is committed to building positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues alike. Enthusiastic and approachable, Eve brings fresh ideas, energy, and a caring nature to the team.
