At Little Loco’s Day Nursery we know how important it is for you to understand your fees when enrolling your child here. You will find everything you need to know across the following pages.
Full day attendance: Our rate is £65.00 per day full day hours are from 8.00am-6.00pm.
Half day attendance: Our rate is £40.00 per session.
-Morning session: 8.00am-1.00pm
-Afternoon session: 1.00pm-6.00pm
Opening hours
Our nursery is open 50 weeks in the year, and fees are payable 50 weeks per year, including bank holidays. We are closed between the Christmas and New Year. Our opening hours are from 8am-6pm.
We provide the option for early starts which start at 7:30am. These will need to be booked in advance and are charged at £5 for 30 minutes.
Payments
Fees are payable a month in advance. Invoices are sent out on the 1st of each month and are payable by the 10th of each month.
How to Pay
Payments are made via BACS, cash, cheque or Tax Free Chilcare Accounts.
Administration Fee
We ask for an administrative fee in the sum of £75.00 to process your child’s application. This is non refundable.
Funding
We offer government funded places for children who are 9 months – 5 years. These hours are offered term- time only in accordance with Newark and Sherwood Council.
Is your child between 9 months and 3 years?
Eligible working families may be able to access up to 30 funded hours of childcare per week, starting from the term after your child turns 9 months.
Is your child 3+ years?
All families are entitled to 15 funded hours per week from the term after their child’s 3rd birthday. Some working families may be eligible for 30 funded hours.
How is our funding calculated?
At Little Loco’s, we apply the Government funding throughout the year and will deduct the funded hours off your child’s booking pattern each week. Up to a maximum of 10 hours a day. We also add a consumable charge to cover food, non-food and enrichment activities that do not form part of the Government funding.
Calculating 15 hours funding
We can offer your government entitlement of 570 hours per year (38 weeks x 15 hours) on an all year round offer allowing your child to attend our setting for 50 weeks. Your maximum entitlement per week will be 11.40 hours (570 ÷50 weeks).
Calculating 30 hours funding
We can offer your government entitlement of 1140 hours per year (38 weeks x 30 hours) on an all year round offer allowing your child to attend our setting for 50 weeks. Your maximum funding entitlement per week will be 22.8 hours (1140÷50 weeks).
Please note: Your yearly funding amount will be stretched across the number of weeks the nursery is open.
What is the additional fee attached to the Government funded sessions ?
The Government funding is intended to deliver free, high quality childcare. It is not intended to pay for the costs of meals, drinks, snacks, nappies (where applicable) and other consumables, extra hours or additional activities (where applicable). To cover this a consumable charge is made for funded sessions. The charge contributes to all the resources consumed during the funded sessions. If you do not wish for your child to access consumables alongside their funded hours. Please make sure you read our Nursery Consumables Policy and speak to the nursery manager.

Late Payment Fees:
It is essential that nursery fees are paid on time to ensure the smooth operation of our services. Invoices will be sent on the 1st of every month. Payments are due on the 10th of each month. In the event of late payments, the following fees will apply:
A late fee of £10.00 will be charged for any payments not received within 24 hours of the due date, an additional late fee charge will be due of £10.00 per day, until funds are received in full. You agree that you are legally liable to pay us that surcharge as per the terms and conditions.
If payment is late your child’s nursery place could be put on hold until payment is cleared.
